SEMA Construction, Inc.
SEMA Construction, Inc. is a full-service construction firm. And at SEMA, we believe a company isn’t defined as much by what they say about conducting their business as it is by what they do in conducting their business. And how do we conduct ours? We do it on time, we do it on budget, and we do it safely. That’s who we are – a general contractor that thrives on doing it right.
Highways. Earthwork. Bridges and Structures. Dams and Reservoirs. Utilities. Civil Infrastructure. These are our specialties. Since our inception in 1991, we have grown into one of the nation’s top heavy highway construction contractors with a superior reputation for completing large construction projects ahead of time and within budget parameters. And it’s due entirely to our employees who live for achieving quality workmanship within owner specifications. Because at SEMA, we love the details.
Approximately 80 to 90% of our construction services are for government entities, with the majority awarded to us on a competitive bid process. Click to learn more about our work and our offices in California, Colorado, Florida, and Texas.

You’ve seen our work. We make panels and wall systems throughout Colorado – whether you’ve been on I-25 in Colorado Springs, I-225 & Mississippi in Aurora, or on 29 Road & I-70B Interchange in Grand Junction, you’ve likely driven by our products. Our precast concrete manufacturing company produces architectural precast panels, precast retaining wall systems, industrial wall panels, and two-sided architectural precast sound walls. We’re also a licensee for J-J Hooks, the leading precast concrete barrier system in the world.
SEMA’s precast products are ideal for sound barriers, privacy/screen fences, office or warehouse buildings, and architectural or utility structures where aesthetics, function, and user-friendly construction offers multiple advantages to the owner. The two-sided proprietary manufacturing capability is unique to the industry and ideal for selective architectural requirements in sound walls and site development.
Our patented retaining wall systems offer enhanced economics, simplicity, and construction advantages compared to the conventional methodologies. These retaining wall systems provide for reduced excavation and backfill volumes, faster construction cycles, and the ability to utilize recycled construction products for wall fill. SEMA Precast also offers complete design, supply, and installation services for all of our precast concrete products.

Why We're The Best
We’re the best because…
…at SEMA, we like action.
We typically self-perform 70% of most major construction work scopes, giving us the unique ability to manage the primary dynamics of our construction projects.
…at SEMA, we’re not just about ideas.
We’re about substance – the dirt, the concrete, and the sweat we put into each project.
…at SEMA, safety comes first.
In fact, our safety officers don’t even have offices – they’re way too hands-on to be anywhere but in the field.
…at SEMA, we like big.
In 2011, we were ranked in ENR’s Top 400 Contractors listing as the nation’s 244th largest contractor.
…at SEMA, we hire talent.
Our people don’t need a “how-to” book for us to make them successful because they require success for themselves.
…at SEMA, we know who we are.
We don’t want to be all things to all people. We’re a construction company. And our experience speaks for itself. We’ve completed over $2 billion in domestic and international projects since our inception in 1991.
We’re the best, because we’re SEMA.
