Construction Management

SEMA takes a full-service approach to all of our projects. In construction, time is money, and SEMA recognizes that expedient, accurate and cost-conscious planning combined with experienced management are critical factors to any project development.

SEMA's vast experience in construction planning and management will maximize your project's success through an optimal blend of these factors. Whether your construction project is small, medium or large, we'll help you build for the future.

Design/Build construction services have become increasingly popular with owners and developers over the past decade. By offering an integrated project delivery method, owners can entrust one team with their project. SEMA’s Design/Build services provide our clients with a single-source of responsibility for quality control, scheduling, and budget adherence.

For Design/Build contracts, our team of experts including engineers, designers, project managers, and superintendents will collaborate with you throughout the design and construction of your project. By joining forces we are able to react quickly, allowing for increased flexibility, faster project delivery, and reduced cost. Collaborating our way across the nation.

SEMA has a history with dirt. Our seasoned earthwork crews have the capacity to move millions of cubic yards in a single year. And earthwork projects can be varied, often including multiple aspects of grading, structural excavation/backfill, dewatering, surface water diversion, erosion control, and ground improvements. Moving dirt - we’ve done it since the beginning.

Environmental Services

SEMA’s experience constructing new facilities that improve and protect the environment has left communities with something to marvel at. We’ve provided remediation, reclamation, and containment construction solutions to industrial, mining, commercial, and government clients. These projects have included the construction of cap and cover containment systems, liner containment systems, collection and treatment systems, waste consolidation and relocation, heavy-metal and asbestos abatement work, and site reclamation of impacted sites. Our ability to responsively manage the potential uncertainties associated with construction improvements made to existing sites is considerable. Solutions for the environment – sustainable, not trendy.

Land Development

SEMA offers a variety of land development services including overlot and general site grading. Our value engineering approach demonstrates our commitment to provide clients with the most cost-effective and efficient developments, including the best overall project value. This process is meticulously planned and executed. We take into consideration our client’s specific needs and suggest plan modifications that save both time and money.

As one of the most experienced construction firms in the nation, we take great pride in our work. From the very first meeting with our clients, to the final finish grading, each member of our team approaches every task with the greatest attention to detail. From raw land to finished lots, SEMA makes the grade.

Bridges, box culverts, retaining walls – a few of the structures SEMA builds. Our crews know how to construct them safely and quickly. In fact, we are known for having built some of the more interesting bridges in the industry. On the I-270 flyover project in Denver, for example, we designed an alternate solution to the use of traditional steel girders: curved, precast-concrete U-girders. Each weighing 240,000 - 330,000 lbs., these girders are the largest and heaviest of their kind. Structure meets substance.

Underground Utilities

Drainage and utility work are common components in every highway, road, and bridge construction project. SEMA has a full-service utility division that specializes in both wet (water, irrigation, sanitary and storm) and dry (gas, electric and fiber optic) utilities. Our crews are also qualified to build custom features such as pump stations, lift stations, diversion structures, outlet works, and instrumentation and control systems. Results: not just a pipe dream.
